Members of the Rainier
Lions Club do a lot to help community members in need. Last year we helped pay for cataract
surgeries, hearing aids & eye glasses for people living in Rainier. Our members also helped seniors by building
wheel chair ramps, doing small home repairs & gardening.
“Be the change you want to see
in the world.” Become a Lion.

Sully Hat Project for Measles
Through the Lions One Shot, One Life Lions Measles Initiative.
Captain Sully Sullenberger has generously donated his autograph to a genu-ine US Airways Captain's hat that will serve as a fundraising focal point to the Lions Clubs International Foundation "One Shot-One Life" measles initiative.
MD-19 DG John has his campaign The $100,000 Sully Hat Project for Measles. He
is asking individual people along with all of the Lions Clubs in District 19C to
contribute to this campaign. The Goal is to save 100,000 lives through the
Lions One-Shot, One Life Measles Initiative.
To get credit for John’s campaign when you send in your personal check or
Lions check to Lions International, designate on your check “The Sully Hat
Project for Measles.” Kent Lions will match Lions Clubs of District 19 C donations
up to $1,000.
This campaign ends June 30, 2015.
Get the District 19 brochure and write up here: http://www.md19clions.org/sully/index.php.

The Lion Whisperer
Kevin Richardson is known as the lion whisperer, and I think that term is perfectly accurate. He has literally made himself part of a pride of lions..........
