Earth Day 2017 in Rainier

Left to Right:  Jesse Nubbe, Autumn Kenney, Chris Beck, Dawn Kenney.  Picture taken by Teri Rendahl

Today on Earth Day and my birthday Dawn, Terry, Autumn, Jesse Nubbe and myself planted flowers at the Rainier Veteran's Memorial and the flower bed by the Welcome to Rainier Sign North end of Rainier. Terry took some pics and will post them to the RLC blog.

It took a whole hour with 5 of us and we were done before the rain came and then all went to Valley Heart for breakfast with Runyon's.

Thanks to all who helped, Chris Beck, RLC, KL

Merry Christmas from Lou and Kathy - our Christmas Letter

Lion Chris Beck sent us the email below:

My 'baby sister' and her husband (Kathy and Lou Aschenbrenner) live in their motor home since he retired as a commercial contractor some years ago.  They donate their time and talents helping 'Hard Hats for Christ' in building churches and related structures for church youth camps etc. Currently they are in Rainier, OR. working on facilities for Mountain Ministries 'addiction' facilities. I marvel at all they've done to help so many others since retiring! Wanted to share this with you.  Chris

I checked out Louis & Kathy's Blog.  Their work - in retirement - is very inspiring.  Please visit their blog (listed below.)  Thanks!  Linda Johnson

From Kathy and Lou Aschenbrenner:

Merry Christmas from our home to yours!

I did post our Christmas letter on our blog along with a link to some photo's.
