Administrative Changes at The Phoenix Rising School

Thank you for your patience and consideration as The Phoenix Rising School makes some important changes in their school.

Dear Parents and Donors of Phoenix Rising School,

As you have most likely heard by now, changes with regard to the management of Phoenix Rising School are currently taking place. We are in the process of restructuring the administration and board so that it can provide a better continuity of communication and vision, as well as provide a clearer curriculum for our students. A curriculum that emphasizes the C.R.E.A.T.E. fundamentals that is supported by you, our teachers and the Administration here at PRS.

We ask you please for your patience as we restructure. We certainly encourage you to bring forward any questions or concerns you may have.

If you would like to contact the board, please don't hesitate to do so at: board@thephoenixrisingschool.org

Thank you very much for your support of PRS and it’s students, teachers and staff.

Sincerely,

The board of The Phoenix Rising School.

The Gift of Gobble!

Promotion flyers are available at the co-op, located at 308 Yelm Ave. E. For more information, call 360-400-2210.

We received this email from Heidi at The Phoenix Rising School:

Good Afternoon,
I asked Aaron if I could get your email addresses so I could let you know about an opportunity for families in case you weren't aware. The Yelm Co-op is doing its annual 'Gift of Gobble' event, which supplies local families in need with a complete Thanksgiving feast. Their goal this year is to supply 125 families. Believe it or not, every year they have trouble finding enough families.

Anyone can nominate a family anonymously at the co-op, and if the family does not want the contribution, they can of course turn it down. Please help to spread the word. Thanks!

Dictionary Day in Rainier - Thank You from The Phoenix Rising School

George,

Thank you so much for visiting our school and brightening our day with the delivery of dictionaries to the 3rd and 4th grade students!  I went into the classroom after you left and every student had a huge smile on their face, they were so excited about the gift you had brought each of them.

We are so impressed with your organization.  The staff at Phoenix Rising thanks you and appreciates the great work that you and the Rainier Lions Club are doing to serve our local community!

Sincerely,

Jessica

UPDATE October 1, 2014:

Thanks again George, I just wanted to tell you that my son is in the third grade class, he is calling his dictionary his "precious" and slept with it last night tucked under his arm.

We appreciate you!

Jessica

Thank you so much George!  It was so nice meeting you on Tuesday.  I hope Jessica shared with you that her son was so excited about his dictionary that he actually slept with it that evening.  The kids are sharing all sorts of interesting facts that they are reading in their dictionaries.
Many thanks,
Megan (Moskwa)

Phoenix Rising Solar Batteries Needed

The Rainier Lions Club received the The Phoenix Rising School Newsletter today in our email box.  They shared information about many interesting activities that their students are working on.  They have one request for a donation.  Please read below:

Solar Batteries

Throughout this year the 5+6 grades have been working diligently on building a Solar Trailer. This is a wheeled device that students can pull all around the campus for AC electricity from the sun. It is also a demonstration of how  photo-voltaic systems, used all over the world, work as a renewable energy.

We are on the home stretch and need a donation of two AMG type solar batteries or $500 to purchase them. If you can help please contact Neil at the Phoenix Rising School. Thank You from the Science Lab

Prefer to send in a check or bring cash into the office?
Click Here for the Donation Form
(form will open in a new window).
Please download the form, print, fill out
