Calling All Vendors and Crafters!

(Not a vendor or crafter, please pass it on to someone you know that is!)

Join us at our Holiday Bazaar and Santa Social
Event Date: Friday December 12, 2014 @ 5:00pm-7:00pm @ Rainier Elementary
Cost: $10 per 8 foot table space.
Event Details: The Rainier Elementary Booster Club is having a Holiday Bazaar and Santa Social in which we provide the opportunity for children to come and purchase gifts for their loved ones, visit with Santa, and enjoy cookies, cocoa, cider, and coffee. This is NOT a fundraiser for the Booster Club.  It is a service that we like to provide to the students and decided to try something new this year by inviting local vendors and crafters to participate to give the kids the opportunity to buy quality items.
Vendor/Crafter Requirements:  We are looking for people who can provide items that children may purchase to give as gifts to Moms, Dads, Siblings, Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunts, Uncles, and even pets.  Items must be kid friendly.  Vendor items must be pre-approved by the Rainier Elementary Booster Club.  Vendors must be able to have cash and carry items that are priced $10 or less.  Vendors are required to donate 1 item for a door prize that will be advertised on the event flier.  Homemade items are welcome, but no baked goods. Space set up begins at 4:00pm and must be ready for business at 5:00pm.  Vendors must stay until 7:00pm. Table space must be paid for by the sign up deadline and is non-refundable.
Deadline to sign up for this event is Monday December 1, 2014!

FREE Movie Night: "The Anonymous People"

Hello Linda ,

Welcome to November! Sorry to be cliche but it is a great time to remember to think of what you're grateful for.  Sometimes it's the little things. The other day, the top row of my keyboard wasn't working and I couldn't spell words with letters using "e" or "i". I never thought about those letters before I couldn't use them. What are some things you're grateful for?

Thanksgiving is also a reminder of eating dinner with family and friends. In the Health Promotion world, this is called a protective factor for youth - something that helps insulate a child from making potentially unhealthy decisions. When you're doing something as simple as cooking dinner together, you could be talking about what's going on at school or future plans. What a great opportunity to process information and generate new ideas.

I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Please join us before then of course, for our RCC meeting. Because I am also grateful for all of you who are engaged with RCC and with your community!
Now that we have a tentative plan, it's time to start making some more great things happen in the community!

Administrative Changes at The Phoenix Rising School

Thank you for your patience and consideration as The Phoenix Rising School makes some important changes in their school.

Dear Parents and Donors of Phoenix Rising School,

As you have most likely heard by now, changes with regard to the management of Phoenix Rising School are currently taking place. We are in the process of restructuring the administration and board so that it can provide a better continuity of communication and vision, as well as provide a clearer curriculum for our students. A curriculum that emphasizes the C.R.E.A.T.E. fundamentals that is supported by you, our teachers and the Administration here at PRS.

We ask you please for your patience as we restructure. We certainly encourage you to bring forward any questions or concerns you may have.

If you would like to contact the board, please don't hesitate to do so at: board@thephoenixrisingschool.org

Thank you very much for your support of PRS and it’s students, teachers and staff.

Sincerely,

The board of The Phoenix Rising School.
