Lions Night at the Theater

Fellow Lions and friends:

Each year, the Olympia Little Theatre performs 5 plays during their performance season (which usually takes place from October to May of the following year.)  Because the theater group is renovating the building, only two performances will be held in 2012.  The theater will be “dark” until April of 2013 of which they will finish performing the last three plays.

Notification is sent out to all of the non-profit organizations interested in buying out the house to hold our “off night performance” as our annual fund raising project (of which we, The Shelton Lions Club received a request.) They asked that we select a 1st  and 2nd  choice.  Our first choice was to be held in April and the second choice was a performance to be held November 6, 2012.  We were unable to acquire our 1st choice so the 2nd choice was awarded to us. (I believe both plays were suitable for our Lions and friends style of audience.)

That creates somewhat of a dilemma because of such a short time frame to promote the “off-night performance”, hence this e-mail announcement. (Please see the attachment)

I hope you accept our apology for not visiting your club since visitations will be limited because of the short period to promote the performance.

The play looks to be a typical classic mystery, with some comedy thrown in.  For those that have attended in the past, I don’t think you will be disappointed in this play.

We are presently accepting reservations.  Tickets will soon be available.

We have been fortunate to sell out the house many times so please announce the LIONS NIGHT AT THE THEATER sponsored by the Shelton Lions Club. Either call or e-mail me your request so you can be assured a seat.

Remember guys, this is a perfect time to take that special lady out to dinner and then the play.

Yours in Lionism,
