UPDATE: The Rainier Lions Club decided they are still going to man a mini-STP refreshment stop, if only to serve beverages. Chris Beck will go Main Street Cookies to see if they will make
sample cookies to offer to the riders.
The Rainier Lions Club will be meeting at 7:00 PM tonight at the Rainier Chapel. One of the topics of discussion is whether or not we will have a mini STP stop at the park, as we had planned.
Rodney Mitchell initially requested that we have this mini stop with home made goodies and drinks for the STP bike riders. Rodney called last night. He will not be at the STP mini stop, as he is going to a family reunion.
I planned on baking 3000 cookies for the stop. Brenda Flaherty planned on baking lemon bars and mini-muffins. Linda Lazelle planned on baking banana bread. Bernice and Victoria were going to help Brenda and me bake, too. I became seriously ill and will be unable to bake.
The VP and Treasurer, Secretary & President cannot man the STP Stop. Neither can many of our other members, so it looks like the we will cancel the mini STP refreshment stop this year.
I will post more information about the meeting, as I receive it from our members. So look for updates to this post.
