Zambia's national measles vaccination campaign will immunize 6 million children against measles. A Zambian Lion distributes a pamphlet about the measles vaccination campaign. Other social mobilization efforts include going door-to-door, distributing T-shirts, and using microphoned vehicles to encourage people to take their children to a vaccination center.
Lions are proud to be working with the Measles & Rubella Initiative during the national measles vaccination campaign in Zambia September 10-15.

”Amongst the many threats to child health and survival in Zambia, measles has become a major threat,” Community Development, Mother and Child Health Minister Joseph Katema told those gathered at the launch, according to the Times of Zambia.
