The Pediatric Cataract Initiative Gives Sight in Nepal

In this video, learn how a child from India receives the gift of sight at the Lumbini Eye Institute in Nepal. Her surgery is made possible through the Pediatric Cataract Initiative, a partnership between Lions Clubs International Foundation and Bausch + Lomb. Every year, hundreds of thousands of babies around the world are affected by pediatric cataract, meaning that they are born with or develop a cataract in one or both eyes. This can lead to severe vision loss -- or even blindness.
