Board Meeting Agenda & Minutes for 5/19/2014



We talked about bluegrass and the prep. The Rainier Lions Club will be working the Burger Den again this year.  Linda Johnson will work Strawberry Shortcake & Chris Beck will work the Corn Feed (in addition to working in the Burger Den.)
  • Reviewing fire lanes mostly and\ 
  • Advertising. 
  • David feels that we will have better attendance this year than previous years. and also suggested we reserve a little more space for patrons. 
  •  Handicap parking was also a big issue last year. 
  • Need to have someone on rest room detail.
Voted to hold off on sending money to last weeks speakers group until we hear Monday nights speaker. I really don’t understand the reasoning as we will probably give to both. 

Voted on the items listed below.  Fund amounts will be discussed at tonight's meeting for yearly donations and payments. All votes were unanimous and seconded no decedents. 

Voted to make donations  or disperse funds to the following organizations:
  • CARE 
  • Leader Dogs 
  • NW Lions Foundation
  • Camp Leo 
  • Project New Hope 
  • Pay the balance of cataract surgery for patient (2 eyes) 
  • Increased the rent payment to Rainier Chapel . 
Good news U.P. Lions called me and are going to sell fruit. Chris and Bernice are doing food Monday night. Voted to purchase:
  • Club Hats.  
  • Toss outs at parade.
  • Voted that we need a banner and sign for Bluegrass
  • Need crossing flags before Bluegrass
We have several new members joining:  Nancy Decker, Tami Clark (& husband), Margaret and Michael M. as well as several responses to our open enrollment invitation.
