Pinewood Derby Community Races 2017
This year the Cub Scouts #307 will be having a “Pinewood Derby” after the
Rainier Round-up Days Parade. This race is open to the public & is for
people of all ages.
They’ll have a Rainier Round-up Days Vendor booth, where
anyone can sign up to have their car in the Pinewood Derby. The entry fee is $2.00 for the race. All money raised from this event will go towards helping the pack buy a new race track for their derby races.
Thank you for supporting our Scouts!

Calling All Vendors & Crafters!!! (Updated Application)
Dear Vendor,
You may be wondering why the vendor application for
Rainier. I sent out applications in May or so but since then, for
various reasons we have turned over sponsorship to the City of Rainier,
which this application reflects. If you have already sent in your
application - would you mind filling this one out and bringing it when you
come? If you haven't yet filled it out we still have plenty of room to
get you in. Things will still be handled pretty much the same. I will
still be in the trailer to oversee so you are looking at the same setting and
still the fourth weekend at the Round Up. Hope to see you
there.

P O Box 1024
Rainier WA 98576
Rainier Roundup is just around the corner from August 26th
to 28th with the main parade day being on the 27th. We will again have
vendors row. Setup on the evening of the 25th or morning of the 26th.
Application attached. (Below)
I have attempted to set a fill in application that
you can fill in, print off, sign, add check drop in the mail.
City
permit is only if you don't have a business permit with the city of
Rainier. You will need a temporary business permit with the city but just add it to the vendor permit and we take care of it for you.
Hope this
application works. For now it is only in Microsoft word. Hope to
have it in Adobe in the next couple of days. Let me know if you have trouble with it.
Thank You,
Karen Creamer

Rainier Round-Up Days Parade
My husband, George, told me that the Rainier Round-up Days Parade had 4 or 5 floats. No big deal, right??? WRONG!!! This was better then the Daffodil Parade. This is Small Town America in ACTION!!! I am still impressed with this parade & the small community of Rainier.
Rainier Round-Up Days Parade was fabulous! Main Street was lined up with people for blocks - on both sides - several people deep to watch the parade! The people who weren't in the parade, were watching it. We had over 44 groups in the parade - including all of the football players & cheerleaders from Rainier Public Schools, a fire & logging truck. There here dozens of motorbike & ATV riders!
The photos below go from the start to the finish of the parade:
My grandson, Sean Thorning, wore the Rainier Lions Club mascot costume on the winning Bluegrass Pickin' Party Float. Pat (our son) drove the red truck that hauled this float.
