Rainier Main Street 507 and Parks Meeting

Greetings folks,

The next meeting of the Main Street 507 and Rainier Parks projects will occur March 18, 2014 (7:00 P.M.) at Rainier City Hall.

The meeting will discuss findings from the community meeting, and present a draft version of the parks plan. Additional discussion items will include: how parking should be addressed in downtown, and some of the important characteristics to ensure in new development (i.e. whether the City should consider building design and landscaping standards).

For those of you particularly interested in Binghampton Street (SR 507), the meeting will not delve into the road or intersections along the highway. The meeting in May will likely consider those issues, after the technical group analyzing the roadway has completed its work.

If you have questions about the March meeting, the project or anything else, please let me know.

Hope to see you March 18th.

Fred

Rainier soccer field was approved by Thurston County!

Damion (Bud) Green, George & I attended the Rainier City Council Meeting tonight.  The use of the county land has been verbally agreed to by Thurston County.  It looks like the 2 soccer fields will be put in, but there are things that need to be done.  To find out more about the Rainier Parks Plan go to: Rainier Planning
