Lions Project New Hope NW RAMP-UP!!!

Lions Project New Hope NW is starting to ramp up again for our upcoming retreats for 2014.
Please, if you have not reviewed the below video or watched it on CBS, take a look:  http://www.cbsnews.com/news/collateral-damage-the-mental-health-issues-facing-children-of-veterans/
(Subject: Collateral damage: The mental health issues facing children of veterans.)

LPNHNW has always been highly concerned about our veterans and their families including the children.  We work hard to provide a fun time for them at "kids camp".  The time has come where we need to do more!
Starting this year, we will be offering one or two workshops at "kids camp" with professional children therapist who will focus the workshops on the children and be able to help them with some good tools for them to use in their everyday life.  As we all know many of our children hid behind smiles, humor or just withdraw when they are in family turmoil.  With PTSD in the family it also affects the children in many different ways. The purpose of starting a Workshop is to bring "tools" to these kids that they can use to help them in their everyday life.
We are on a search for help from professional children therapists that will come and volunteer for us to put on one or two workshops per each retreat.
If any of you have contacts in regards to professional children therapist, please let them know about our needs.  Just send them to me and we will start the interview process.

Thanks much.  Dee
